My hand gets all pale, raster-y and detached after a hard day’s blogging!
I have read hundreds of business blogs in my time. It doesn’t take long because they are usually pretty brief! There’s the big, splashy “Our First Post!” post, followed by “Our Summer Promotion” several weeks later, followed by 38 months of silence.
Blogging is a pillar of a good inbound marketing program, because it offers very real benefits, tangible and otherwise. What are the benefits of blogging for your business? Here are five blogging benefits I found on the web right off the top my head: Blogging can help your business…
- Boost Search Engine Optimization: (Fresh content does the trick!)
- Develop Relationships with Potential and Existing Customers
- Establish Your Business as an Industry Leader
- Connect People to Your Brand
- Create Opportunities for Sharing (forwarding, retweeting, etc.)
But even when business owners are convinced of these benefits, it still takes work to keep your blog interesting, optimized and posted on a regular schedule. You just might need some help, and Michael Lively, blog perpetrator since the dawn of Web 2.0, is your guy! Check out some of my business blogging samples!
