Thanks for your comments, Clem. The pseudo-intimacy is awkward, for sure. The way we attach such SIGNIFICANCE to reconnecting with people and, after 3 emails or so, we lose touch all over again! Anyway, thanks. I like your site!

Speaking of Coffee...what is it in Hawaii right now...4am? Go to bed!

Yes, quite a rant. And this from a person who works in the home office all day and moans about isolation! So, yeah, the Lunch was THAT bad!

Um... so how do you REALLY feel about the lunch meeting? I feel you're holding back.

I think "coffee" is the new "lunch." If you're REALLY lucky, you can get a latte out of the deal! Ok, so it worked for me with the Coffee News.

Miss ya!

I did a blog about Disneyland (yes, the one in California) and mentioned standing in line to "use" a picture phone back in the 1960s.

Just read your piece on Skype and have a personal update: There are 4 people on my Skype-able calling/viewing list.

My brother has a web cam I bought for him and a friend in Chicago has an old web camera I gave him when he moved away from Charleston.

The other two had their own cameras but had never used them.

I changed and put on a colorful t-shirt before I made my first Skype viewcall and turned up all the lights in the room to improve picture quality.

The fellow I was talking to/seeing had no shirt on and sat in front of his array of medicines and pills in a dimly lit room.

TMI.

Thanks.
